I had a chance to sit down and chat with a fabulous baseball friend Tuesday evening; Boston baseball guru Ed Hand was kind enough to have me on his show, “Pod by the River.” We meandered around a bunch of different baseball-adjacent topics for an hour (or only like 40 minutes if you put me on 1.3x). It was a great opportunity to start thinking about the sport we love again, after a winter where nothing baseball-related happened other than the Dodgers signing 87 big name free agents.
Want to know why I rank Fenway as my favorite ballpark? Want to know why Guaranteed Rate Field is…well…NOT my favorite ballpark? Ever wonder which player I idolized as a kid? Want to learn about the nicest guy I met at Yankee Stadium? OK, even if the answer to all of those questions is “not really,” you can still give it a listen, right? I mean, what else do you have going on besides a lot of stuff?
You can listen to the podcast on Spotify by going to this link. And you can follow the show on Twitter at @podbytheriver. And on Bluesky @baseballed.bsky.social. And heck, as long as I’m sending out links, you can follow me on Twitter @StadiumsTen, or now on Bluesky @tenstadiums.bsky.social.
Happy listening! We’re almost to spring training, folks!
